Lahore Smart City

Smart City Lahore is situated along the Lahore By-pass Road near Kala Shah Kaku. Future Development Holdings or FDH is the management consortium that is currently developing Lahore Smart City and Capital Smart City Islamabad. The Lahore Smart City is set to become the 2nd smart city of Pakistan and will be developed on international standards devised for infrastructural development of global smart cities. A smart city is based on the concept of eco-friendly and sustainable urban development connected digitally. Like Capital Smart City, Lahore Smart City is set to include all civic amenities of life while ensuring a sustainable urban lifestyle for the general population. In a smart city, all the civic infrastructure is based on data. The data is collected via residents, municipal buildings, transportation infrastructure, etc. Lahore Smart City is also set to feature all the amenities that will be provisioned in Capital Smart City Islamabad. Lahore Smart City is set to be developed on an estimated 20000 Kanals. Lahore is the provincial capital of Punjab and one of the most populated metropolis of the world. The urbanization pressure has been increasing in the city’s urban hubs in the past few years. Lahore Smart City is planned to take its part in distributing urban pressure from the city center to suburbs.
